Una piccola spiaggia di sassi bianchi nascosta tra i chiari anfratti cilestri e gli scogli bordati di sottili trasparenze sottomarine. Il mare rotola i sassi, e i sassi strisciano col rumore secco del ghiaccio tritato. E' il solo rumore scandito dal ritmo lieve dell'onda, vitrea all'abbrivio. Ogni sasso è liscio come un uovo, duro e compatto, levigata perfezione senza residui, che incanta. Trovare parole simili a questi sassi, precise e in sè concluse, fatte per dire solo quello che dicono, inventare un modo di disporle casuale e armonico come la bellezza di questa spiaggia: fu il primo breviario di estetica qui appreso.

A tiny beach with white pebbles is hidden between the clear pale-blue depths and the rocks bordered by the subtle submarine transparency. The sea rolls the pebbles, and the pebbles give off the sharp rattling sound of chopped ice. It’s the only noise emitted by the gentle rhythm of the waves, glassy at its source. Every pebble is smooth as an egg, hard and compact, buffed perfection with nothing left over.
